Rising from the heart of Austin, Texas, Almost Famous Friends has emerged as a captivating force in the pop-punk realm. Drawing inspiration from revered acts like Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, and Hawthorne Heights, this emotionally fueled band proudly embraces their self-proclaimed title of the 'Chronic Sad Boys' of Austin. Since their inception in 2014, they have remained relentless in their pursuit of musical excellence, propelled by the potent songwriting of lead vocalist and guitarist Tristan Wilson.

Comprising a formidable lineup, Almost Famous Friends also features Aris Manasco on drums, Hunter Sharpe on guitar, Colton Kincaid on bass, and Remy Manasco on guitar. Each member brings a distinctive influence and style to the music, contributing to a sound that resonates deeply with fans seeking both aesthetic musicality and explosive live performances.

About The Band

While the band wears their introspection and emotional depth proudly on their sleeves, they also infuse their music with an electrifying dynamism that comes alive on stage. Their performances leave audiences captivated, as they seamlessly blend vulnerability with raw energy. It is this perfect juxtaposition that makes Almost Famous Friends a must-see live act for those seeking an unforgettable experience, and has garnered them praise from outlets such as New Noise Magazine, AMBY, and more.

Almost Famous Friends is gearing up to release an onslaught of singles ahead of their sophomore release. It will be the first album release since their debut full-length project, I'm Not Who I Want to Be" on May 20th, 2016, which was recorded and produced at Orb Recording Studios in Austin, TX, in collaboration with Joseph Milligan (Anberlin).

Venturing beyond the traditional boundaries of punk and rock, Almost Famous Friends fearlessly takes creative liberties, incorporating elements such as synths, trap drums, and auto-tune into their music. They seamlessly blend these contemporary influences with the timeless essence of early 2000s emotional pop-punk, creating a sound that feels both fresh and familiar. Their music has the power to resonate with fans of alternative rock, pop music, hardcore, and pop punk alike.

“For our fans and those who have helped us grow, we want them to know that we are infinitely grateful for their love and support that got us here,” says Wilson. “Without the backbone that is our community and our family and friends, we’d still be lost and without fuel. We hope we can show the rest of the world that being open minded, accepting, true to yourself, and loving others unconditionally is the surest path to making the most of this life.”

With their unwavering commitment to their craft and a sonic landscape that bridges the gaps between various genres, Almost Famous Friends invites you to embark on a musical journey that will touch your soul, invigorate your senses, and leave an everlasting impression.
